Richmond NAACP

Virginia Blood Services
The VBS is a private, nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation providing patient services throughout central Virginia. They supply blood to all hospitals in Richmond, Charlottesville, Farmville, Fishersville, Emporia, Harrisonburg, Hopewell, Petersburg, South Hill and the Staunton/Waynesboro area and provides the blood for nearly two thirds of the patients receiving organ transplants in Virginia. The VBS operates eight donor centers: two in Richmond and two in Charlottesville, along with others in Chester, Glen Allen, Fishersville, and Harrisonburg. Black History Museum & Cultural Center of VA
The goal of the Black History Museum … is to become a statewide resource on the many facets of Black history through exhibitions, discussions and celebrations. The Museum collects documents, limited editions, prints, art and photographs for use in its Black History Archives Program. Congregations Around Richmond Involved To Assure Shelter- With its name derived from the Latin word for charity, today CARITAS is the largest emergency shelter program in the Richmond community.
